How it works

Four steps, start to paid.

01

Create a project

Add a client, set the billing type and deadline. Invite the client once, then reuse the relationship on future projects.

02

Send the invoice

Stripe or bank transfer, whichever you've enabled. Invoice numbers are sequential and automatic.

03

Client pays in their portal

They sign in with a magic link, no password or install required, and see only their own projects and invoices.

04

You get notified

Invoice status updates the moment it's paid. No spreadsheet, no manual follow up.

Everything client work needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Three things freelancers actually use every week, not a feature list built for a demo.

01 · Projects

One home per client

Files, messages, and invoices live on the project, no tab hopping between four tools.

02 · Invoicing

Get paid two ways

Stripe or bank transfer. Sequential invoice numbers, generated automatically.

03 · Portal

Clients see only theirs

A branded portal for each client, your logo, your accent color, their invoices only.

Pricing that doesn't punish you for growing

Flat monthly rate. No per client fees, no invoice caps.

Questions

How is this different from just sending a Stripe invoice link? +

Stripe and bank transfer are how clients pay, but ClientTrack also gives each client a portal with their project files, messages, and invoice history. A payment link alone doesn't give them anywhere to go back to.

Do my clients need to create an account or download anything? +

They sign in on a hosted page with email and password, or Google, no app to install. No separate password-reset flow yet if they lose it, so make sure they know to hang onto it.

Can one client see another client's invoices or projects? +

No. Each client's portal only shows what's tied to them, even if they work with more than one org on ClientTrack.

What if I want a client to pay by bank transfer instead of a card? +

Bank transfer is a supported payment method alongside Stripe. Enable whichever ones fit how you get paid. For bank transfers, you confirm the invoice as paid yourself once the money clears, since there's no automatic webhook for a wire.

Can I use my own logo and colors instead of ClientTrack's? +

Yes, on the Growth plan. Set a logo and accent color once, and it carries through the client portal, the invite email, and generated invoices.

Does ClientTrack take a cut of what my clients pay me? +

No. Card payments route through Stripe Connect straight to your own Stripe account, so you only pay Stripe's normal processing fees, nothing extra on top.

What happens if I hit my plan's client or project limit? +

You'll get an upgrade prompt instead of being able to add another one. Existing clients and projects keep working either way, it's just new ones that are blocked until you upgrade.

Can I cancel or change plans later? +

Yes, any time from the Billing page in Settings, which opens Stripe's billing portal for upgrades, downgrades, and cancellation.

Is there a free plan, or do I need a card to try it? +

There's a free tier for one client and one project, no card required. It's enough to see if the workflow fits before you commit to a paid plan.
